Whytham Woods 10km

Well done to the Whytham Woods organisers for a lovely relaxed and beautiful forest run.

Siemens Healthliners were there giving demonstrations of experiments whilst we waited, there were delicious home-made cakes and cookies, plenty of toilets and enough people on registration. The medals were made of pottery by a local artist.

Here is a bit about what made this well organised and run event so very special, ….the woods. "An ancient semi-natural woodland, owned and maintained by the University of Oxford. Its 1,000 acres are a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest, exceptionally rich in flora and fauna, with over 500 species of plants, a wealth of woodland habitats, and 800 species of butterflies and moths…"
